Alamo Community Tree Lighting 2018

Sunday, Dec. 2nd – 4:30pm-6:30pm

The Community Foundation of Alamo will present the 2018 Alamo Tree Lighting Festival at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec 2nd. The festival signals the beginning of the Christmas holiday season for families sharing an evening of caroling, entertainment, and beverages. “Guests are urged to come early and stay late,” said the organizers.

Students from local schools, elementary through high school, will be performing. Of course, Santa will make his annual appearance and hear what the dreams and wishes are for this Christmas! There will also be light treats and beverages provided by local civic groups.

Again participating this year will be the Contra Costa Food Bank with barrels to collect non perishable items such as canned or boxed goods. We encourage all to participate in charitable organizations this holiday, but it is not necessary to enjoy the fun festivities for the evening!

The festival is sponsored by Community Foundation of Alamo with the Festival committee including Kevin Musante,  Sharon Schuyler, John Lineweaver, Andrew Elkin, Steve Mick, Alicia Watson, Denise & Chris Roussett,  and Brent Tucker We also are so thankful for the generous donations and sponsorships from Stone Valley Center, Alamo Oak Tree Plaza, County Parks and Rec.and World of Sound and Vision. We also give a BIG, WARM thank you to Alamo Today, and the Sentinel for their help and support for this and for all events they promote for our community!

Community Foundation of Alamo keeps up the good work

The new Community Foundation of Alamo is the successor to the Alamo Chamber of Commerce Foundation (ACCF). The ACCF was established as a 501(c) (3) Non-Profit Public Charity in 2009 for the purpose of providing fundraising support for the activities of the Alamo Chamber of Commerce. With the consolidation of the Alamo and Danville Area Chambers of Commerce effective in December, the desire of the Trustees of the Foundation is to continue to support the community of Alamo through this new Foundation.

The mission of the Community Foundation of Alamo (CFA) is to enhance the well-being and quality of life for the people and community of Alamo.
